Soapmaking Class – 3 hours
Learn to make cold process bar soap from scratch with organic oils. Classes are small so you will get personalized attention while getting hands on experience. Each session is 3 hours, guided step by step with Rebecca, who will walk you through soapmaking safety, a brief chemistry of soap, as well as soap terminology.
All the supplies will be provided. You will leave with a handout that includes safety instructions, an equipment list, step-by-step instructions, soap recipes, my supplier list, soaping book list, and over two pounds (approximately 13 three ounce bars) of soap.
Safety gear and supplies are included to make one batch of soap per session. Each person will make their own batch of soap to take home with instructions for cutting and properly curing your soap. There is a minimum of 2 people per class and a maximum of 4 so everyone has time to properly learn this time and temperature sensitive process.
Must be properly attired for lye safety and have legs covered and closed toed shoes. Long sleeves is also recommended. No loose or hanging clothing please. Safety glasses, gloves, and aprons will be provided.
To note; full payment for this workshop is required upon registration. Must be 18 yrs or older to attend (if you have an older child you would like to bring along with you, please email Rebecca to see what can be arranged)
Cost per person
$150 per person plus tax for Beginner Class, $175 per person plus tax for Advanced. Maximum 4 persons per class (see below for a less intensive option for more people or soap party!)
Cancellation Policy
All payments are non-refundable. Payment is required in advance and no refunds will be given. If you have committed to a class and cannot attend for any reason, we require at least 7 days notice to reschedule and attend the same class at a later date (plus any additional cost if the price of the class has increased).
If there is less than 7 days notice for cancellation or you are a “no show” for the day of your class without cancelling in advance you can book a spot in a future class for a retake fee of $50 if booked within 30 days of your missed class. If you do not cancel in advance and do not show up for your class, you are not entitled to a spot in any future classes and no refund will be given. If there is a class within 30 days of the missed class that is not full, we will do our best to accommodate a make up spot for you, but this is not guaranteed.
If you are unable to make your class and can find someone else (over 18) to take your spot, that is fine with us – please just let us know in advance so we have the right name and contact info for the class.

Beginner – pure, unscented soap, option to customize with clay and botanicals
Advanced – Liquid replacements (beer, purees, milks)*

CLASS LOCATION: 625 Spruce St (accesible location)
Soapmaking Party – 3 hours
Looking for something new to do with friends? Interested in making your own cold process soap but don’t want the hassle of stocking supplies? Come have fun, learn a new skill and bring home some natural bar soap. My soapmaking parties are just the thing for your next shower, birthday, or quality time get together.
Create a unique essential oil scent blend for your soap, choose a natural clay colourant, and decorate with botanicals. Watch me make the soap and then it’s your turn to make your own bar designs and personalize your soap. Everything you need will be provided and you will leave class with a few bars of luxurious handmade soap and your curing instructions.
Classes are held in West End Winnipeg out of the community kitchen space at 625 Spruce St (Centre for Spiritual Living). There are no handouts or recipes given with this class. (If you are interested in a more in depth class where you do all the steps yourself to make your own soap, you may want to look into taking the Beginner Soapmaking Class instead)

$50 per person plus tax, minimum 6 person and maximum 10 people
To note; full payment for this workshop is required upon registration. Must be 18 yrs or older to attend or over 12 yrs and accompanied by a parent or guardian.
To attend this class, you must be properly attired for lye safety and have legs covered and closed toed shoes. Long sleeves is also recommended. No loose or hanging clothing please. Gloves, face shields and aprons will be provided.
Private Adult Painting Parties – 2 hours
Classes are $45 per person, with a minimum of 4 people per party. Each session is 2 hours. A guided step by step with Rebecca, who will come to your location and walk you through an acrylic painting on canvas or wood panel. All the supplies will be provided, you just need to show up ready to paint! The painting will be chosen for you from botanical or landscape varieties, but if you have a theme in mind you want to do, let us know your idea!
Painting parties can be held at your home or at a private studio space.
Private Kids Painting Parties (5 and up) – 2 hours
Great for birthdays, or during school breaks! Classes are $30 per child with a minimum of 6 per party. A guided step by step with Rebecca through an acrylic painting on canvas or wood panel. All the supplies will be provided, you just need to show up ready to paint! The painting will be chosen for you, but if you have a theme in mind you want to do, let us know your idea!
Private oil painting lesson – 2.5 hours (12 and up)
Learn to mix your own oil colours, to thicken your paint with traditional impasto technique using limestone powder, and how to seal and protect your work with eco varnish. Supplies are included for one mini canvas work in impasto impressionist style to take home with you.
Private one-on-one: $150 for one session
Group class minimum of 4 people: $250
